June! The start of summer and the list of seasonal ingredients available in the Northwest reflects this. Look at how many fruits and vegetables are becoming available. June is when I start to really work at being organized and deliberate in my cooking and preserving efforts and I cannot wait to see what everyone else is doing. I plan to preserve fruits and vegetables by canning and freezing, along with cooking deeply indulgent favorites that celebrate whatever fresh things I can get my hands on.
