My oldest daughter is hosting us for Easter this year! This will be her first time putting on a family holiday event and I am so very proud of her. She is organizing the Easter egg hunt for the little kids and a brunch for all of us to enjoy. How great is that.

For my part I am bringing a fresh fruit tray with dipping sauce, pretty much a must have in the family for brunch celebrations. My sister Judy makes this amazing lime sauce - actually she makes a variety of great fruit toppings but right now her famous lime sauce is the current bestest according to the kids. This year we will not be spending Easter with her and her family but Aunt Judy's lime sauce will still be with us!

This is my take on her sauce since I have never gotten a recipe from her formally. It may seem a bit counter-intuitive to dress up fruit with a fruit sauce but I assure you this is a great combination that makes you smile. I hope your family enjoys it as much as ours does and that it adds to your Easter celebrations. Joy.
A zesty accompaniment for fresh fruit, strawberry shortcakes, or a moist spice cake that is eaten frosting free.
- 8 oz (1 brick) cream cheese
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- zest and juice of 2 limes
- 1/2 - 3/4 cup powdered sugar
Combine all ingredients in the food processor. Blend until very smooth. Taste and adjust the sweetness to fit your likes.Transfer to an airtight container and chill for about an hour before serving with fruit, shortcakes, or muffins.
